The restaurant

Osteria Perillà enjoys a lovely location in the centre of a mediaeval village, in perfect harmony between history and modernity. Savour simple, elegant gastronomy with produce sourced locally from Podere Forte.

Culture

Rocca d’Orcia is a tiny and exquisite mediaeval village
with narrow streets, distant views and an intriguing
square with a massive 750-year old well, nestling under
the imposing fortress of Rocca di Tentennano.

Menu

We gather the secrets of our past, we discover the ancient flavours of traditional products made using natural methods that respect nature and our environment, and we reinterpret, without ever overplaying our hand, the wealth of Italian cuisine, mainly from Tuscany and the centre-south of the country, breathing new life and expectation into classical recipes.

Wine list

Here, more than elsewhere, light is distilled into wine.
(Giovanni Papini)

Guests at Osteria Perillà can enjoy the wines from Podere Forte, selecting among many fine vintages on our wine list.

The vineyards of Azienda Agricola Podere Forte
nestle on the hillside on shallow lime-clay soil
and permeable carbonate-silicate schist subsoil.
Planting density is between 7,000 and 10,000
vines per hectare, viticulture is certified and follows
the biodynamic teachings of Rudolf Steiner.
The oenologist is Cristian Cattaneo, with the
consultancy of Donato Lanati.

Our Chef

Marcello Corrado, Executive Chef: after spending time at the restaurant “Casa del Nonno 13” in Mercato San Severino in south-west Italy, our young Michelin-starred chef came to Osteria Perillà at the start of the new season, and is now proposing his delicious new creations.
